To the person who just needs someone on their side,
Life throws a lot of changes and uncertainties upon our paths. I think we can all agree that we’ve seen that first hand, probably now more than ever. Our plans unravel and our paths take turns we didn’t account for. Amidst this we find ourselves seeking some sort of constant in a world full of variables, many of which are beyond our control. And as the type A, plan-oriented person who likes “control” in their life, that can be really unsettling to accept.
He loves you when you struggle to love yourself.
He loves you when the people you counted on fail to show up.
He loves you in your fruitful seasons, but also in your unknowns and frustrations. In your messy seasons.
He loves you, even when you turn away from Him. When you’re ready to throw in the towel with this whole “faith” thing.
When you feel overwhelmed with the uncertainties and hurts that this life has brought you.
He loves you.
Not only does He love you, but He loves every part of you, always. The parts of yourself that you keep tucked away, that you’ve deemed unlovable? He still loves you. He loves you unconditionally. There are no ifs, ands, buts or what ifs when it comes to Jesus’ love. He simply loves. He doesn’t ask questions, he doesn’t have any stipulations, there are no quotas you need to meet. He loves.
So take a deep breath, you don’t have to have it all figured out, simply rest in the notion that He loves you. He always will. He is your constant.
